Childhood Adversity articles in The Lancet

The Lancet just published four articles on childhood adversity:


Hospitalisation patterns among children exposed to childhood adversity: a population-based cohort study of half a million children. Key takeaway: "Hospitalisation rates were consistently higher in all four adversity groups compared with the low adversity group" in this Danish study.



Adverse childhood experiences and related outcomes among adults experiencing homelessness: a systematic review and meta-analysis. Key takeaway: "The lifetime prevalence of ACEs is substantially higher among homeless adults than among the general population, and ACE exposure might be associated with prevalence of mental illness, substance misuse, and victimisation."
